Radio Removal Guides

To locate your serial number, the first step is removing your radio from the vehicle. Unfortunatly this is an essential step for online decoding, as we provide the original code for your radio based on the serial number, unlike main dealers who use the vehicles registration number. This means are codes are more accurate, especially if its a second hand unit or been replaced at any stage in its life, either under warrantly or by a third person.

1. Simply insert the removal tools or equivalent into the two or four slots to in the corners of the stereo as illustrated.
2. Most require you to push the tools away from the radio which causes the clips to push into the radio and away from the dashboard to release
3. The stereo should easily slide out without too much pressure.

Once you have successfully removed your car radio, Locate the serial number by inspecting the top and right hand side of the radio.

Before getting a code we recommend you first ensure your radio is not blocked. Simply turn the radio on, and try to enter the first digit of any code "ONLY THE FIRST DIGIT" If this is ok, immediatly turn the radio off. If you find however that you are unable to enter any digits, leave your radio powered up for 1 hour continuously to reset itself.

Whilst you have it removed also check for any labells such as Repaired... Exchange.. and check that labels such as Warranty Void if Removed are in-tact.
