Along side our online radio codes we also offer a professional decoding service covering literally hundreds of car radios. If you can answer yes to the following statements, then our workshop service is what you need !

• Your radio is Blocked and Code entry is not possible
• Serial number code supplied was incorrect or not available
• Your radio has been previously decoded / or a repair label is showing
• Your radio is not covered using our online decoding service.
• Your radio is displaying CANCHECK
  
• Your radio does not require a code, instead it is Vin Coded / Married to the car

Not only can we read the code directly from the radios Eeprom Chip or Microprocessor but we can also unlock the unit

Decoding your Kenwood KDC-W8531

To take advantage of our workshop decoding service you will be required to send in or bring down your complete Kenwood car stereo to our workshop in Crawley.

If you decide to send it in, we ask that you package your radio appropriately in a small box with padding to protect any sensitive areas such as the front panel.   Please do not send your radio in a padded envelope as the likely hood of it turning up on one piece is not a chance you should be willing to take.

You can place your order online to send your radio into us, Return Postage fees will be calculated during checkout or alternatively you can bring your unit into us between 10am and 5pm Monday to Friday.

However we request that you first call 0844 357 0600 and book an appointment to ensure we are available.

If you decide to post it into us, under most circumstances your Kenwood radio will be decoded within 1-2 days of arrival and returned to you by royal mail recorded delivery. Certain units, due to the complexity may take an additional day or two to be decoded. 

Please ensure somebody is available for receiving the radio as a signature is required for the security of your radio.

After switching on the unit the display will show 'ENTER' followed by 'CODE - - - -'

Using the AM/FM keys input the first code digit followed by the >> key

Repeat the procedure until all 4 digits are showing on screen, finally keep the >> key pressed for a few seconds to save the code.
