Fiat Radio Removal Guides

To locate your serial number, the first step is removing your Fiat radio from the vehicle. This is an essential step for decoding Fiat radios online, as we provide your original Fiat radio code for your radio based on the serial number, unlike Fiat main dealers who use the registration or Chassis number. This means that our Fiat codes are more accurate, especially if its a second hand car where the Fiat radio may have been replaced either under warranty or by a previous owner.

  1. Simply insert the removal tools or equivalent into the two or four slots to in the corners of the Fiat radio as illustrated.
  2. Most require you to push the tools away from your radio which causes the clips to push into the radio and away from the dashboard to release
  3. The stereo should easily slide out without too much pressure.

Fiat Serial Number Location Guide

Once you have successfully removed your Fiat car radio, Locate the serial number by inspecting the top and right hand side of your radio.

An example of serial numbers commonly found on Fiat Car Radios :

  • BP0145Y5455521
  • GM0300W7283773

With Blaupunkt radios we also require the part number, this is 10 digits in length and will always start with the number 7 for instance

  • 7 649 852 320

Before getting a code we recommend you first ensure your radio is not blocked. Simply turn your radio on, and try to enter the first digit of any code "ONLY THE FIRST DIGIT" If this is ok, immediatly turn the radio off. If you find however that you are unable to enter any digits, leave your radio powered up for 1 hour continuously to reset itself.

Whilst you have it removed also check for any labells such as Repaired... Exchange.. and check that labels such as Warranty Void if Removed are in-tact.

If your radio is blocked, or the codes you have or we supply fail to work, we also offer a Workshop Fiat Decoding service, which allows us to either reset or reprogramme Fiat radio's which require a code.
